Travel • Pattaya-Bangkok (June 2018)

We went to Pattaya via Bangkok during the mid-year school holiday. An almost immediate thought that crosses people's mind would be,
"huh,Pattaya? Got things for kids meh?" (Translate: Is Pattaya a kids-friendly destination?)
Yes, there are aplenty of kids-friendly activities!
Not that we had a lot of time to cover them all...
Well, we had 5 days in Pattaya! On the 6th day, we were back to Bangkok where we stayed 3 nights...just to satisfy everyone mama's retail therapy needs! *\(^o^)/*
Here's what we did!

Day 1
•Arrived at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport, transferred to a private coach bound for Pattaya, which we pre-booked on Klook .
•Check-in to Mercure Pattaya Ocean Resort.

Day 2
•Cartoon Network Amazone Water Park
•Dinner at Harborland Pattaya

Day 4
We booked a taxi driver for an entire day at THB1000.
•Swiss Sheep Farm
•Silverlake Vineyard
•Khao Chi Chan Buddha (Buddha Mountain)
•Dinner at Central Festival Mall, which was about 20 minutes walk from the resor…

I "baked" a cake for my birthday this year. The inverted commas spelled out that it was a short-cut ≧∇≦ Haha!

I made Condensed Milk Buttercream and spread it around store-bought chiffon cake! Made it looked a lil rustic, topped with berries & added some hidden surprise! Tutorial for assembling the hidden surprise cake is here.

Recipe • The Very Versatile Anchovy Soup Stock!

Image
I cook chinese style vegetable soup pretty often. It's a good way to increase the kids' vegetables intake and convenient for days when I only whip up a soup and meat dish. Most importantly, the boys love drinking their soup when it's cooked with this stock!
This stock is suitable for many types of Chinese soup, example:
& Cai Xin or Xiao Bai Cai soup too!

I often get queries on what is the soup base when I post photos of such soup, so I think it's high time I give this delicious and versatile soup base its own space in this blog!
Also, I hope my own kids will get to follow this recipe here and cook their favorite "mummy's soup" in future and be able to reminisce the taste of their childhood! (♡˙︶˙♡)
