Travel • Winter Tokyo Itinerary (Dec 2017)

Image
Hey there! We brought the boys on another Japan trip during the year end school holidays last month (or should I say last year, that's 2017!)
We were in Tokyo again and made 2 separate day trips to Yokohama. A few of our friends were surprised that we did a Tokyo-Yokohama trip again barely 1 year after the previous one in 2016. However as you know, Tokyo itself is really big...one can never cover all the attractions on 1 trip! In fact we already excluded places like Tokyo tower, Sky tree (we were there but did not go up), Akihabara, gyoens (gardens) which were not much of interest to our kids, and yet there are still many more places we have not covered over these 2 Tokyo vacations!

I'm sharing our Winter Tokyo 2017 Itinerary here and will update the details and information to each individual attraction along the way. (highlighted yellow)

Let me share some Tokyo travel tips first:

1)We rented a pocket wifi from Changi Recommends for our trip. We also received a pocket wifi provi…

Morinaga Paw Print Cake

Image
I'm excited that my first bake of year 2018 turned out successful and tasted nicer than I expected! For someone like me who don't bake often enough and only has 2hrs+ to spare in the mornings, each successful attempt at baking something that my boys can enjoy eating is so precious to me!

You'll need Morinaga Hotcake Premix and a paw print baking tray for this Morinaga Paw Print Cake recipe, you may use baking tray in other designs too.

I'm using San Remo brown rice penne pasta here and you may vary the ingredients required.
Do check out San Remo contest with link at the end of the post.

Recipe • Butter-Soy Spaghetti with Mushrooms (Japanese style)

Image
I'm sharing an Asian pasta dish, Japanese style Butter-Soy Spaghetti with Mushrooms. I used 3 types of mushrooms but really, it's up to your preference! I'm also using brown rice spaghetti which is a healthier choice!

Brown rice has been many household's choice in recent years. It's rich in essential minerals such as manganese, iron, zinc, phosphorous, calcium, selenium, magnesium and potassium.
San Remo Brown Rice Pasta is made from 100% organic ground brown rice and contains the same health benefits as brown rice. It is free of gluten, dairy products, eggs and yeast and is ideal for anyone following a gluten free lifestyle.
