Tutorial • Mickey Mouse Imprint Egg

Image
。. .。.:*・゜゚・* Season's Greetings to all! *・゜゚・*:.。..。 Today's tutorial is inspired by the very magical Mickey Mouse imprint hard boiled egg I had at Tokyo Disneyland last year! Quite a number of my friends "WoW" at the egg when I posted the photo then. So I tried to replicate it, considered successful until the last part when I peeled the egg shell while it was still hot and broke part of the egg white :/ Please peel the egg after it'd cooled down. Ok, before it gets too lengthy, let's begin! (╹◡╹)♡ If you tried this tutorial on my humble blog and would like to share on your blog or any other social media platforms, please copy and include the URL so it'll link back to me. Thank you! Travel • Hotel Okura and Ikspiari Mall (Tokyo Nov 2016)

Image
I booked a 3N stay at Hotel   Okura Tokyo Bay on Expedia as I wanted easy access to Disney Resorts. The initial plan was to visit both Disneyland and DisneySea but I decided to skip DisneySea while planning our itinerary and went for Mother Farm  instead. Hotel Lobby Terrace view from our room window Okura Tokyo Bay's room are generally bigger as compared to other hotels in Japan. Even the bathrooms are huge, complete with a bathtub & separate standing shower. Initially, the staff could not honor my Expedia booking of "2 big beds" and offered us a room with 4 single beds instead. My concern was Mini K rolling off the single bed as he usually co-sleep with us. After understanding my concern, t he staff agreed to push 2 of the single beds together to form a big bed and even offered to set up bed rails as extra safety precaution! Brownie Points awarded!  They were accommodating although they were not able to communicate very well in English...

Travel • Ninja Trick House (Tokyo Dec 2016)

I chanced upon Ninja Trick House on Tripadvisor and was pretty impressed by the many positive reviews it received. The hubb read about them on some travel forums too. So I noted it down as a "Shinjuku To-Go". We were at Shinjuku on the 6th day of our Tokyo vacation and decided to check out Ninja Trick House after lunch. There is this small signboard of Ninja Trick House outside its building. There wasn't any elevator so we walked up the narrow stairs to the 4th floor, yep...together with a 7.5kg stroller plus 2 helium-filled balloons courtesy of Takashimaya plus our shopping bags. Luckily there is always the Ks' daddy to do the carrying! 😃😃 We registered with the friendly lady staff. It costed 1000¥/person (above age of 3) and it's approximately 25mins/session. We had a short waiting time of less than 20mins, while another fellow Singaporean family who arrived minutes after us had to wait for the duration of 2 sessions. I made use of the waiting t...
