Hi, everyone! I realise my last post was in November! 2 long months of neglecting this lil space! We went to Bangkok & Huahin during the December school holidays, which I hope to blog about soon! ♡ But for now, it's a simple recipe of XO sauce braised Ee-fu noodles! Both my boys love eating ee-fu noodles, which is so simple to cook and I usually do non-spicy for them.  Recipe link here . But today, I fry up a mild spicy version using  Fortune brand  original dried scallop in XO sauce. I also added Locos and Abalone sauce from the same brand. Recipe • Stuffed Tofu Puffs with Laksa fillings

Image
I came up with this recipe, Stuffed Tofu Puffs with Laksa fillings , in conjunction with Prima Taste contest. Never did I expect it to taste like "otah otah (spiced fish paste wrapped in banana leaf) meet Thai fish cake"! It's not spicy like commercial otah otah, so it's suitable for children who are able to eat spice flavored food :) These tofu puffs make good party finger food too, serve these with a lime-chilli dip! Recipe • Laksa Meatballs with Laksa Pasta (part 1)

Image
This Laksa Meatballs with Laksa Pasta was the first dish I cooked among the 3 dishes I shared using Dancing Chef™ pastes because I initially thought I may need to fine tune the recipe, cook using the revised recipe one more time before I share it out. However, it wasn't necessary at all. The taste came out right, thanks to this ready to cook paste from Dancing Chef™! Oh, the husband told me to cook this dish for him again after he sampled it and Lil K commented he likes the meatballs too! These meatballs are not spicy, but do have a mild taste of spices so children who are able to take mild spicy food will be able to take them. Furthermore, Dancing Chef™ pastes contain no MSG, preservatives or artificial colouring, making them a natural product. The meatballs are suitable for freezing, I kept half the portion in freezer-OK container and re-heat in the oven for Lil K's deco-lunch. For today's Dancing Chef™ x SingaporeHomeCooks collaboration recipe post, I'm sharing how we can incorporate their Laksa Paste to create other dishes. Since laksa is a spicy dish, it isn't very suitable for the 2 boys. I decided it shall be cooked into a dish that my husband will like. And I am glad, he does like this Shabu Pork Rolls with Laksa Sauce . The crunchy veggies wrapped in shabu pork that soaked up the laksa broth... spicy and flavorful!
